2009 STRIVE recipients recognized

The Rotary Club of Summerside recognized the three recipients of the STRIVE program scholarships at one of its recent meetings.

The STRIVE program recognizes a person's individual accomplishments, and their significant commitment in the final year of high school with an emphasis on academic and personal improvement in preparation for post secondary study. The 2009 recipients are Mariah Allen, Josh Gallant and Alex Riutta, all recent graduates of Three Oaks Senior High School. Mariah plans to pursue a Bachelor of Business degree at UPEI, Josh will begin studies in the Sport and Leisure Management program at HollandCollege and Alex is enrolled in the Canadian Studies program at Trenton University.
