30th Annual Napa Auto Parts Mardi Gras Curling Tournament

Time to start thinking about curling!

 

Sponsored by NAPA Provincial Auto Parts, The Summerside Rotary Club's annual Mardi Gras curling funspiel is almost here. This important fundraising event will be held on March 2-4, with proceeds going to Rotary's 'Strive' scholarship program. Each year Summerside Rotary provides five $1000 scholarships to local high school graduates. The Mardi Gras has become the key fundraiser for these scholarships.

 

This year we are pleased to announce that West Jet has provided two free tickets for wherever they fly in the world! Some destinations include Maui, Dublin, Glasgow, and of course many cities in North America. These tickets will be our featured item in the silent auction.

 

On Friday night we will have a delicious assortment of snacks including wings, mussels, nachos, and more, sponsored by Spring Valley Building Centre and the Dental Centre. As well, on Saturday evening participants will be treated to a hip-o-beef dinner, co-sponsored by Key Murray Law and Moase Funeral home.

 

Finally, being a Mardi Gras event, there will be prizes for the most "uniquely" dressed team, so prepare your costumes now!

 

Last year we had 40 entries and we expect those spots to fill up quickly this year as well. We know it is going to be a fun filled weekend of curling and fellowship, coinciding with our annual pancake breakfast, as well. So please, sign your teams up quickly and don't miss out!
