Summerside Rotary Club welcomes Thane Smallwood

Thane was born in Charlottetown and grew up in Parkdale.  His father was a Veteran of WWII and worked for CNR until the last train left the Island.  His mother still lives in Parkdale.  Thane received degrees from UPEI and UNB in Mechanical Engineering.  For a while, he worked off-island for Michelan but returned in 2006 and now works for PEI Bag, a company that has been around since 1935.  Thane who now lives in the Summerside area, is married to Suzanne and they have two sons . Thane was passionate about rugby from the ages of 17 to 38.  Now his children's activities have taken up his free time but he does like to play the odd game of golf when he can.  Welcome to Rotary, Thane.
